We Play Games.

(Like literally all the time.)

January soared by and February is now upon us!  Before it gets too far on into the year I want to convey some information about our plans to expand into other games since that is part of our mission here at IGC.  Our community meeting earlier this month was packed with a large chunk of information related to community expansion and so this post will serve to highlight a few of those things.

IGC is looking to bring FPS into the fold this year.  This is a concept we've often explored in the past but with very little success.  The biggest setback to that project has always been lack of proper leadership.  I want to highlight proper.  I've never wanted to simply put someone in place who "plays Battlefield".  That does not necessarily qualify them for anything.  So it has been a bit of a sore spot for the community since a few of our players do "play Battlefield" and wouldn't mind a few others to shoot noobs with.

I cannot promise anything for this year where FPS is concerned but I will say right now that something is brewing that may or may not come to fruition.  I hesitate to say more because it may excite far too many of you and/or causes emissions of epic proportions.  Or not.  You'll know more when I know more.

What we do do at IGC is MMOs.  This year (and a little beyond) there are some titles in the pipe that we are seeking Guild Leaders, Officers, and Members for.  The titles are as follows:

  • EverQuest Next (Landmark)
  • Pathfinder Online
  • Shroud of the Avatar
  • The Repopulation

Of course our list is not limited to looking only for people interested in these specific games.  We will expand into anything we find good leadership for that can manage a guild independently and also as part of a team.  If you feel you are qualified for that or know someone who is, contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will answer any questions and squash any fears you have about taking on a project like this.  Currently I am in the process of designing game-specific recruitment campaigns for each one of these titles.  Any assistance/advice is always welcome.

Lastly I wanted to clarify an announcement I made at the meeting about games we are NOT expanding into.  What I meant to convey was that we tried to expand into those games and failed due to lack of leadership.  If a project isn't the right fit for us or leaders don't work out, I don't simply abandon a game.  However, when that happens a few times or I am in talks with one or more people behind the scenes and it keeps happening, I am going to move on.  That said, while IGC currently has no intention to add The Elder Scrolls: Online or ArcheAge to the above list, I will continue to seek personnel for those games, albeit at a lower rate, than the other games I've mentioned.  Should a qualified leader fall into my lap I am not going to say no, but I am also going to screen them and make sure they're right for the job.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, thanks for reading and I will see you all on Teamspeak!
