IGC is really taking off in the latter half of this year! Not only are we building two new gaming chapters, but minor guilds are also popping up. Right now we are discussing ways to increase our exposure on the net to extend our reach even further.
We here at Impact Gaming want everyone to know who we are. We want to become somewhat of a household name in the gaming community at large and draw in more and more players each day. A few of the ways we plan to do this are already in the works. For example, our site now streams news from popular MMO feeds right to the frontpage! Soon, game masters here at IGC will also become Assistant Community Managers and will be out there trying to bring you to our website and into our fold as well.
The "Friends & Family" policy, pioneered by Violent Impact, has become a standard across our community as well. While we still cater to the semi-hardcore gamer lifestyle, we also share our knowledge in teachable moments to upcoming players within our guilds. In the coming weeks we will also be seeking sponsorship from certain database websites that we are already loosely affiliated with.
Bookmark us right now as new things are happening each and every day (no joke)! And of course, if I didn't mention that you are always welcome to hop on our TS, apply to one of our guilds, or just talk to us in-game, I wouldn't be a very good Community Manager now would I?
Rock on gamers.
Earlier this evening IGC leadership got together to decide a number of things concerning the direction of Radiant Impact.
What we've decided is that we will be seeking about 16-20 players for beta phases and then look to build the guild size to between 24 and 30 for launch. Dragen, RI's recruitment officer will be working on a new recruitment post that should be ready and posted across the TOR community by the end of this week. Black Death, formerly a leader of Neutral Impact will be assisting Dragen with recruitment duties prior to launch. Our selection of classes would ideally be two of each class and one player per specialization, but that's probably more like a pipe dream than something that will be a reality.
One of the most important things we settled on this evening is that RI will be playing on a PvP server. No, not a flagged or optional PvP server, but a mandatory one. We really felt that PvP is something that cannot and should not be removed from the Star Wars genre. It should not be optional nor will we ever consider it to be as such. We all think that the Jedi vs. Sith conflict is an essential part to enjoying the galaxy and we would not be parted from that experience for anything.
Over the next few days we'll be adding some rule pages and hosting additional information about the guild as well.
Until next time, may the force be with you!
Neutral Impact is booming! Welcoming the addition of four new members to the community as well as new Patch 1.17!
Patch 1.17 came and went with more system fixes, guild task/more quest additions for the novelty adventurer, full party/light party buffs, and 20 brand new NMs. Neutral Impact has been hard at work testing the new features and NMs while still continuing our advancing march toward self improvement and group rank leve progression!
A look at the overly ridiculous Full Party notification.
Silly bug with the Nether Newt description.
We have gotten our fill of all the new NMs and what gear we wanted from them. Although it was not the endgame challenge we would have hoped for, they still proved to be a refreshing change to our normal schedule.
Still rocking the original 'end-game' NMs for continued practice and training for new and old members alike. Special shout out to Ghunter for having 100% attendance at all 177 NM kill events, good job!
Continuing our objective of pushing battle classes to 50 with leves!
Our crafting and gathering class divisions have been burning the candle at both ends, reaching goals and expectations far exceeding the Linkshells demands. Grats to all who have earned 50 in the past month!
Our latest letter from the producer states that 1.18 is going to be a very large content patch, with quest-hubs (possible dungeon flag points?), Rank 30 and Rank 50 dungeons!, possible fatigue system abolishment, and the beginning of a battle class system make-over. It was a little depressing to hear it being pushed back to mid-June instead of May, but just official news and pictures of the upcoming content is enough to build that anticipation hype again. In the meantime, we will be continuing business as usual. Chance favors the prepared mind, and we are ready for what comes next!
Radiant Impact has officially begun recruiting members! If you've been pining for the release of a promising Star Wars MMO, are someone who wants to bring their A-game to TOR, or simply a good player looking for a place to call home, IGC is now extending itself to this title in preparation for late 2011/early 2012 launch. The 'About' page for RI has been updated with most of the information in our recruitment poster, but to see the full version, head to our forums and read this post. It can also be read on popular Star Wars: The Old Republic sites such as the official TOR forums, Lucasforums, TenTonHammer, and MMORPG.com!
We've decided to go Republic so players looking to get into Trooper, Jedi Knight or Consular, or Smuggler need look no further! I know this guild will be a great one, so come on down and apply today while spots are still wide open. We are recruiting all classes and looking for both players and leaders.
Hope to see a few of you on the boards soon! Take care, and may the force be with you!
Grey Jorildyn IGC Community Manager here, to give you a little update on what people can expect from us over the next few months where Star Wars: The Old Republic is concerned. I am currently in the process of identifying a GM. I have someone who has told me he is interested in taking the reins, but it will also depend on who he can get into his leadership circle. That said, it has been proposed that GI may be using a leadership council. This wouldn't be a typical leadership council; there would be a primary Guild Master. I can't really go into detail too much because I don't have all the facts just yet, but you can expect something along those lines for leadership. Our standard loot distribution of ZeroSum should apply as well, but time will tell on that too.
