After many successful Ifrit farming runs, Neutral Impact has taken aim at the notorious beastmen strongholds of Eorzea! Downing all 3 tyrants and thousands of their subordinates with 8-11 members per attempt, no quarter was given for the heinous crime of breathing free air! Grats on the spoils of war!

We're Growing Up!
The Impact Gaming Community is one year old now and it's been a fantastic twelve months for us!
Last year Neutral Impact started it all but since October '10 we've seen the rise of two new chapters, Violent Impact and Radiant Impact. Violent Impact has done an amazing job keeping up with content in Rift and destroying it too! Radiant Impact hss been in heavy recruitment over the past two months and is ready for deployment in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Our founding guild has done an excellent job clearing FFXIV dungeons and is waiting for the next big thing now.
IGC was busy all year. We saw the addition of a WoW guild (Sudden Impact) for a short time, and although they did not stick around, he made some great contacts. VI merged with a guild on Keenblade and brought in a plethora of solid players. NI did a few repearlings and did away with DKP for the good of the linkshell. We've recruited over 100 unique players to our community over the past year and have maintained at least that number of active players for some time now. Our media teams have been on the ball posting screenshots, making videos, and bumping recruitment posts as well. Honestly, what HASN'T been happening? So much has been going on it's hard to keep track of it all!
Of course, it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows. We've seen many players come and go, as well as leaders. We've had our failures, wipes, and arguments. We've seen changes of the guard in nearly every facet of the community. There's been disagreements, feuds, and we've even made some enemies! But ya know what? It comes with the territory. Our players are experienced enough in the MMO world to know that's just standard operating procedure for guilds and communities alike. Through it all we've managed to stay stable, be successful, gain notoriety, and move forward in all our active chapters. We miss all those players who were once a part of our family and hope that they are successful in whatever they've chosen to do, no matter where they're playing now.
That said, I want to dedicate this one to all the players who have stuck with us through thick and thin and who are still kicking ass! I of course cannot forget the players who are now with us and helping us grow our community every day, with every zone clear, boss-downing, PvP slaughterfest, guild meeting, or teamspeak chat. I speak on behalf of all IGC staff when I say Thank You for being there to make our community bigger, better, and bringing it to the next level!
Keep rocking guys, for the rest of the year and all those to come. Remember that without you, there is no community, no guild, no fun. The player is what makes the community what it is, not me or any of the leaders by themselves.
So raise a glass for yourselves today!!!
Happy Birthday IGC!!!
Above: Our most recent clear. A - 1 Gladiator, 1 Conjurer, 2 Marauders, 1 Pugilist and 1 Archer! Who says you need Archers for this dungeon!
Since update 1.18 Neutral Impact has come a long way. From learning the battle system all over again, learning the new enmity calculations, dealing with the increase in MP cost for curing and over all adjusting and adapting to the changes; We have grown even stronger as a unit. Even with constant disconnections throughout our Dungeon diving escapades we have managed to obtain just about all of the gear we need to walk away happy. Only a few pieces remain to be confiscated from the confines of the dark - and they are but a finger tip away!
Good job guys! Keep it up!
Alas! after multiple attempts and many long hours, Neutral Impact has slain the mighty Ifrit on Hard mode! Congratulations and thank you to everyone who helped contribute to the success of NI's first hard mode primal kill! Video on the way!
Grats kill team! Bracsith Sirrush, Kittra Thelder, Aksel Hoch, Toc Ammanas, Lordnace Jetjaguar, Grey Jorildyn, Ghunter One, Seifer Arumashi!
Grats Toc on bow! Grey on sword! Jet on sword! Kittra on cane!
A couple of weeks ago Ruok Mphemala let me know that her real life would be picking up and she would no longer be able to handle the duties of Recruitment Officer for Neutral Impact. While this saddened me, as Ruok is both a close friend and the only (and last) Senior Leader of NI, there was a need to put someone in her place quickly.
An opening was posted and we did receive some interest in the position. In the end I chose Atem Zoe ("atem") because I felt he was the best fit for it. Atem wrote a wonderfully detailed PM to me about his desire to have this position and I felt it was genuine. Atem has been involved not only in NI, but in League of Legends nights that take place in IGC and he is very active on the boards. He's very pro-community and he seems to have a lot of ideas that could really help IGC grow. In addition, Atem was a long-time FFXI end-gamer and raided 10- and 25-man content in World of Warcraft. During this time in Neutral Impact, he's been active in all aspects of the guild and has even taken advantage of our friends and family policy to recruit one of his close friends who was recently upgraded to end-gamer status who has also proven to be a solid member. I truly feel this position could be his first step toward something even greater in the future! I personally look forward to seeing what he will bring to the linkshell and the community as a whole.
That being said, Ruok's loss will certainly be felt during this transition, but there comes a point in all our lives where we must put the game aside and find ourselves. I wish her the best of luck in whatever she decides to do going forward and I think I speak on behalf of NI when I say that she will be missed.
But now we must look to the future with our heads up. Congratulations to Atem Zoe on this promotion! Give him a pat on the back if you see him and make him feel welcome as IGC's newest Officer! You've earned it.
